Extensions Directory is a useful tool for callers to get direct access to the Quadro extensions by spelling the user's name with the help of the phone keypad. Extensions Directory can be accessed through the Quadro Auto Attendant and it has its own manipulation buttons to surf the directory (see Feature Codes).
Extensions Directory Settings page allows you to create a list of names assigned to the extensions on the Quadro. If the name spelled by the caller matches to the one(s) listed in the Extensions Directory, corresponding extension user name(s) will be played to the caller, so he could verify the input and select the user to connect. Each extension's user should record his name with the help of the handset (see Feature Codes) or they can upload a wave file from the Account Settings page.
Custom Greeting column in the Extensions Directory table displays whether custom greeting (user's name) is recorded/uploaded or not. User cannot be accessed through Extensions Directory and is implied as an inactive entry until custom greeting is not recorded/uploaded. Warnings will be seen in the Extensions Directory table for inactive entries. Extension numbers in the Extensions Directory table are created as a links to move to the corresponding extension's Account Settings page. This helps administrator to access the extension's settings page where custom greeting can be manually uploaded.
Add functional button opens the Add Entry page where new name may be assigned to the extension. Error prevents adding a new entry to the Extensions Directory if no extensions are available in the Extensions Management table. Add Entry page consists of the following components:
Edit opens the Edit Entry page to modify the name or the attached extension.
Delete removes the selected name(s) from the Extensions Directory table.
Note: The entries in the Extensions Directory could be automatically deleted if the extensions assigned to the entries will be removed from the Extensions Management table.
Select all selects all records of the table.
Inverse selection inverses the current selection (if no records are selected, clicking on inverse selection will check all records).
Move Up and Move Down functional buttons are used to move the selected record one level up/down in the Extensions Directory table. The sequence of the entries in the Extensions Directory is important when several records match the same spelled name. Extensions Directory table is parsed from the top down and the matched entries will be played according to their position in the table.
