The Remote Controlling Tools are divided into two pages: one for Remote Testing and the other one for Remote Control configuration. Remote Testing feature should be enabled on the Quadro to give a possibility to monitor actions performed on it and detect possible/reported problems. Remote Control feature is used to allow external applications to reach Quadro and handle telephony services over it.
Attention: Remote Controlling services have been created for the Epygi Support Center only. Please enable the remote testing service only if the Epygi Support center or your system provider asks you to do so. Please take into account that enabling Remote Controlling Tools may increase the network traffic of the device and that some calls may be captured to analyze the reported problems.
Remote Testingpage is used to allow a complete remote management of Quadro and contains following components:
The Enable Remote Testing checkbox enables the remote testing module on the Quadro allowing access from abroad and to conduct tests to locate problems on it.
Secure Mode checkbox enables secure connection between Quadro and external party remotely testing the Quadro. When this checkbox is selected, remote side's IP address or IP addresses in the Allowed Addresses table should be participant to some IPSec Connection created on the Quadro.
The Allowed Addresses radio button selection specifies the authorized destinations:
Any - selection allows any IP addresses to process remote testing on the Quadro. If Secure Mode is enabled, only IP addresses from some existing IPSec connection can remotely test Quadro.
Defined - selection allows only IP addresses included in the Allowed IP Addresses table and participant to some IPSec connection to process remote testing on the Quadro.
Allowed IP Addresses link refers to the page where table of IP addresses allowed to perform remote testing on the Quadro are listed. Page allows adding new IP addresses, editing and deleting the existing ones.
The Remote Testing Port Range text fields requires the port range on Quadro to get connected from abroad and to be able to send packets.
Min - minimal port, has to be higher than 1024 and less than the defined maximal port range.
Max - maximal port, has to be less or equal than 65536 and higher than the defined minimal port range.
The minimal port has to be lower than the maximal port and if the values entered do not correspond with this condition, the message "Minimum port range value should be less than maximum port range value" occurs. The port may consist of digits only; otherwise the error "Only digit values allowed" occurs.
The Remote Control tool is used to allow external applications to connect Quadro to handle calls and some telephony services on it. Page contains following components:
The Enable Remote Control checkbox enables the remote controlling module on the Quadro.
The Allowed Addresses radio button selection specifies the authorized destinations:
Any - selection allows any IP addresses participant to some VPN connection to process remote controlling on the Quadro.
Defined - selection allows only IP addresses included in the Allowed IP Addresses table and participant to some VPN connection to process remote controlling on the Quadro.
Allowed IP Addresses link refers to the page where table of IP addresses allowed to perform remote controlling on the Quadro are listed. Page allows adding new IP addresses, editing and deleting the existing ones. When deleting an IP address from the Allowed IP Addresses table, system checks whether the Quadro is currently remotely controlled from that IP address and if so the confirmation will be asked to keep the IP address or to kill the connection.
The Remote Control Port requires the port number of the external application allowed to connect Quadro.
