Hot Line Settings Help

Hot Line Settings are used to determine the destination that should be automatically dialed if after lifting the handset no other action happens during a specified timeout. This service is mainly used for emergency calls but can be also be configured according to the user requirements. The page consists of the following components:

Attention: This service is only available on the FXS lines, it is not available if your extension is attached to an IP line. If you find Hot Line settings unavailable for your extension, please contact your system administrator.

The Enable Hot Line Service checkbox selection enables the Hot Line Service and the drop down lists below.

The Timeout drop down list is used to select the no action timeout before the defined number will be dialed automatically.

Call Type lists the available call types:

Depending on Call Type selection the destination extension number, a SIP address or a PSTN number should be entered into the Called Address text field. If the defined called address is not corresponding to these requirements, an error message, "Called address is incorrect", will appear and prevent saving the incorrect data. The PSTN number length depends on the area code and the phone number. The SIP-Clipboard button at the end of the line can be used only when SIP is selected in the Call Type drop down list. It opens a small window where one of the previously entered 10 SIP addresses can be automatically selected again.
