Firmware Update Help

This window allows updating the software of QX200 by installing a  new firmware (image). If you are registered at Epygi as a customer, you will get a message when a new firmware is available and then you can download it from the Epygi Web page www.epygi.com. If you want to download new firmware, make sure that the power supply is secured. Therefore QX200 is provided with a battery. If the error message There is no battery or voltage is low is displayed, please insert a new battery.

You may additionally configure the QX200 so it will automatically update its software once a new software is published by Epygi. The Automatic Firmware Update link leads you to the page where the automatic update of the QX200's firmware (software image) can be configured.

Attention: Installing a new firmware will cause the loss of following data:

Attention: When the older firmware is installed on the QX200, the system configuration will be lost and the device will be factory reset.

Firmware update procedure is created in 3 pages. In the first page the information is displayed about the data that would be lost after burning the new software. Next button moves to the second page of Firmware Update where image file should be selected. Enter the filename of the corresponding image in the Specify Image text field.

Attention: Pressing the Next button will stop some vital processes on the QX200, therefore you will need to reboot your device manually even if you have cancelled the firmware update procedure on the following steps.

Pressing Save will start uploading the image file to QX200. The next page will be displayed for a repeated check of the image. This page displays non-editable information about the image validity. Image Check will display the value invalid if the image does not correspond to the hardware version. The fields Current Software Version and New Software Version show the old software version and new burning image versions.
The page needs a confirmation to continue updating the image. If you are sure that the image version is appropriate for your device, press Save.

To update firmware manually select one of the options: Upload Firmware or Get Firmware From Server.

Attention: Installing a new firmware will last about 15 minutes. During this time, QX200 won't be operational, neither telephony nor Internet access is possible. The following main processes will be stopped during the firmware update and will be restarted after the installation is completed:

Attention: After the firmware update, all IP phones attached to the QX200 should be restarted.
