The IP pool configuration is used to create or modify
groups of IP addresses that have the same restriction criteria. These
groups may be used instead of single IP addresses to create a new filter. The
table displayed here includes all existing groups with their members. If a group
is empty, "EMPTY" will indicate that in the Members column. When hidden,
group members will remain active and "HIDDEN" will be displayed in the
members column. Each group may be selected by a checkbox for editing or
deleting. The following buttons serve to modify the groups or to add
new ones:
View makes hidden groups visible.
Hide makes group members hidden and adds a HIDDEN comment
in the member column.
Add opens the Add Group page where a new group may be added. This page consists of the Group Name text field (requiring the group name) and the Group Description text field (requiring the optional group description).
Edit serves to modify group names and descriptions.
Attention:
Changing a group name also will change the references to this group, including those to
groups where this group is member of and all affected filter rules (enabled
and disabled ones, in all chains).
Delete removes the selected groups with all its members from the table.
Attention: Deleting a group will also delete any reference to the corresponding group, including filter-rules and member relations to the other groups.
Select all checks all existing table entries.
Inverse Selection inverses the current selection (if no records are
selected, clicking on inverse selection will check all records).
All group names listed in this table are created as a link that leads to the
IP Pool Group Configuration page to specify new members or modify existing ones.
