Advanced Firewall Settings Help

The Advanced Firewall Settings are used to deny Ping and Portscanning operations addressed toward the device. With these features enabled QX200 will answer with irritating message to the Ping and Portscanning operations.

Note: Operations are available only when Firewall is enabled from Firewall and NAT page.

• The Ping Stealth checkbox selection prohibits Ping operation toward QX200 from its WAN.
• The Fool Portscanner checkbox selection prohibits QX200 portscanning from its WAN. As a reply to Portscanning operation, "network unreachable" or "host unreachable" feedback messages will be sent.

Attention: Any changes applied in this page force a restart of the firewall, which might take a few seconds.
