The IP Phones Firmware Upload page allows you to upload the SIP phone firmware to the Quadro's external USB flash memory, and then to load and install it to the certain SIP phone.
Note: The IP Phones Firmware Upload service is only available for the supported SIP phones.
The page consists of a table where the SIP phone firmware images uploaded to the Quadro's external USB flash memory are listed. The Remove functional link is used to remove the corresponding firmware from the Quadro's external USB flash memory.
The Select Firmware text field is used to define the path on the local PC where the SIP phone image firmware file is located. The Browse button is used to choose the firmware file location in your PC.
Note: Before starting the upload of a selected firmware for your SIP phone, connect an external USB flash memory (with a free storage to fit the firmware) to the Quadro. The external USB flash memory will be used as a temporarily storage for the firmware file before being uploaded to the SIP phone.
The Phone will get the firmware via drop down list is used to select the transfer type used to transfer the firmware image file from the Quadro's external USB flash memory to the certain SIP phone. TFTP selection is used for Aastra SIP phones and HTTP selection is used for Snom SIP phones.
When the firmware is successfully uploaded to the Quadro's external USB flash memory, its exact name should be defined in the corresponding SIP phone's Web GUI. For Snom phones, the following link should be defined in the "Firmware" field at the "Software Update" page of Snom phone's Web GUI: http://quadro_LAN_IP/ipeconfig/firmware_filename. For Aastra phones, the firmware name should be defined in the "File Name" field and Quadro's LAN IP should be defined in the "TFTP Server IP" text field at the "Firmware Update" page of Aastra phone's Web GUI. After these settings applied, the SIP phone will get the firmware from the Quadro and will have it automatically installed.
